Mist can be feathered into scenes to generate a simulated smoke as shown in the example above. Click the image to see a larger version.
Mist adds natural looking ground fog, blowing mist, smoke and even a blowing snow type of look to images. Brush on the mist and experiment with the different creative options to come up with the right look you are after.
Mist can be used with the other effects in Mystical Lighting by applying it first and then stacking lighting effects on layers above it. The light will react to the mist effect as it would in nature giving glowing white highlights.
Mist can also simulate a blowing snow effect when used on a winter scene.
In the slideshow to the right you can see how the mist makes the photo look like a breeze is blowing snow from the trees and across the scene.
It is easy to restrict where the mist is formed and where it is stronger.
The example images in the slideshow used three mist layers, each with a different mist setup and areas where the mist was placed and blocked from flowing into.
