Darken Colors produces a result that gives you darker, richer colors with deep tonal detail. Darken Colors features both opacity and saturation controls and independent Red Green and Blue channel controls to blend the resulting effect across the channels to find the right balance.
Darken Colors works well when you apply the effect to an image that lacks color saturation and tonal depth. Flat and over exposed images are ideally suited for this effect.
Using the brush on controls you can apply selective enhancements with varying degrees of opacity to darken the colors of a photo in just the areas you desire.
The Darken Colors effect adds soft darker contrasted color tones to your image without dramatically changing the color balance of the image. In most cases, it is best used as a selectively applied effect where you brush on the effect to specific areas of the image you are enhancing.
