Harden Details can be used to enhance images that lack sharper details and depth. Images enhanced with Harden Details have darker tones with sharper highlights and details.
Using the Global settings you can enhance the entire image and then selectively remove the effect from areas with the Eraser tool. This technique is useful for images that need to have areas protected from too much enhancement.
Harden Details makes the image have a harder feel to it as the effect adds to the contrast, tonal depth and sharpness of the image.
