Under Color allows you to brush colors under the existing tonal values in an image. The color will appear to come naturally through the tonal values contained in the image.
Use the Tonal Range slider to define the areas you want to apply the color under. Create multiple layers using this effect to separate out areas you paint in for easy organization of your work.
Use any of the Tonal enhancing effects in Mystical Tint Tone and Color to influence the dark tones in the image that Under Color is applied to.
You can, for example, apply Enriched Black or Deepen Tones to boost the darker areas of the image before brushing color into them with Under Color.
