Layers in Xtivity are built around a robust architecture that allows you to reorder, clone, group and ungroup and transfer attributes from one layer to another to speed up project development. As you click on each layer the corresponding object on the layout will show active blue handles around it.

Layer Flag System
Xtivity features Layer Flags that let you click to define if your content is externalized, omitted from the exported SWF, or streamed in.

Externalize Graphic
|
Saves the flagged graphic as an externally loading graphic
|
|
Omit Graphic
|
Omits the layer object from being saved with the exported SWF
|
|
Stream
|
Streams the item in as an externalized SWF
|

|
Layer Highlighting
As you roll-over items in the layer the corresponding layer object on the document canvas highlights. This feature helps you quickly find and select objects in your project simply by moving your mouse up-and-down the list of layers.
